healthy homes
As part of a joint grant from Highlands-Cashiers Health Foundation and The Nantahala Health Foundation, the IFC is helping at-risk homeowners in Macon and Jackson Counties with repairs that directly improve the overall safety of their homes. Examples of such repairs include septic systems faults, faulty heating/cooling systems, damaged floors, electrical and plumbing repairs, leaking/decomposing roofs, mold issues, etc.
Eligibility for this program is based on the following criteria:.
1. Household income must be equal to or less than 60% of Annual Median Income, which varies by county of residence and the number of adults working in the home.
2. Home receiving repairs/improvements must be occupied by the homeowner.
3. Requested repairs or improvements should directly affect the health and safety of the homeowner/occupants.
We are now accepting applications! If you know anyone who may qualify against the previously established criteria, please contact tj@internationalfriendshipcenter.org
